THE COMPANY WE KNOW TODAY STARTED IN 1985.
The founder, Christian Larocque, had just closed his other excavation company due to too fierce competition at that time. Mr. Larocque therefore decided in 1985 to buy his first truck. He started his new business with small contracts, here and there, and over time, he bought other trucks, reaching 6 in the mid-90s. Christian Larocque therefore surrounded himself with a dispatcher, Guy Duguay. Mr. Duguay was previously a driver for Mr. Larocque and he decided to use his expertise to help the company take off.
In the 90s, the company mainly transported throughout North America, from East to West, North to South. It has always been a priority to offer the most exemplary service and to adapt to the needs of its customers.
In 1995, the company was incorporated under the name Christian Larocque Services. In 1998, a building was constructed and became the official place of business that we still know today.
In 2005, Christian Larocque decided to venture back into the field of excavation. Thanks to his experience, he was able to benefit from this sector of the company which has already produced 50% of the company's turnover. The excavation is today managed by his son, Bernard André.
In 2009-2010, Christian Larocque obtained good contracts in the field of excavation, which allowed him to solidify his business and gain experience.
In 2010, his other son Rémi, who was a truck driver for his father's company, left the truck wheel to come work in the offices as a manager and to provide dispatch support; position he has held ever since. In 2011, Christian Larocque surrounded himself with a controller, Westley Wilson, to ensure he had the best possible financial management.
Today, the company has 40 stable employees and 50 employees during busier periods. It has a fleet of approximately 25 transports and 60 trailers, as well as several pieces of equipment for excavation. It also has a well-equipped garage for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
In 2014, Christian Larocque passed the torch to his two sons Bernard André and Rémi, but remains active as president. Guy Duguay and Westley Wilson also become business partners.
